June News

Summer is finally upon us after a long cold winter; I'm thanking God for this small blessing!
Remember to tell all your acquaintances about this wonderful book. I pray the organizations here at Trinity that receive our financial support see the benefit in making these books available to all their family and friends. The success of this sale helps us give scholarship funds to: Trinity Christian School, college students, our nursery school, Trinity's youth group and the Parish Nurse program to name a few. Please help us so we can help these worthwhile organizations. Please give me a call @ 860-745-7180 if your organization would like some cookbooks to sell.
In June, Jeannine Gilman and I will be looking to put together a program planning committee for 2015. If you would like to help us plan informative programs that center on issues relating to women, children and youth, please give either of us a call. Jeannine's phone is 860-688-5031; my number is i860-745-7180. We will soon be meeting on a Sunday afternoon in the Church library. Look for more information in future bulletins. These wonderful programs are instrumental to our spiritual growth as women of faith. I look forward to seeing what our Dear Lord has in store for us in 2015!
Our 2014 Program & Church member listing is now available. Please consider a small donation to cover the printing costs. They will be available in Fellowship Hall on the UMW Table.
Thank you all for your continued support for the Women, Children & Youth in our community and worldwide.
With all His Blessings,
Mary Ellen Scott, UMW President

A MOTHER'S PRAYER

Make me a wise mother, O Lord. Keep me calm and give me patience to bear the small, irritating things in the daily routine of life. Give me tolerance and understanding to bridge the gulf between my generation and that of my children.

Let me not be too ready to guide my children’s stumbling feet, but allow me to be ever near to bind their bruises. Give me a sense of humor that I may laugh with them but never at them. Let me refrain from preaching with words; let me show by example instead.

Keep me from forcing their confidences, but give me a sympathetic ear when my children come to me. Make me humble. Keep my children close to me, O Lord, though miles may separate us. And let Thy light so shine upon me that they, too, will perceive Thy glory. Amen.
