Update From Our
Director of Children's Ministries
MAY DIAPER DRIVE
Thank you to those who supported our May Diaper Drive to collect diapers for charity. TUMC and TCS teamed up to provide a Diaper Changing Station at our Shad Derby Tent. As a vibrant and visible Christian school and church, we greeted local families while they enjoyed the Shad Derby festivities. Many thanks to all the volunteers who made this event a success!
VBS 2013 Sonwest Roundup
July 29-August 2
There are STILL many vacancies on the VBS volunteer list. We especially need a Recreation Director who enjoys outdoor games (weather permitting) with the kids! Please sign up to become a part of this vibrant team!
Teens who have completed 7th grade or above, Please let me know if you are available to help with VBS week. Please sign up with Mrs. King by emailing her at sarex27@sbcglobal.net to confirm your attendance at this fun week to earn service hours with your friends.
VBS Craft supplies needed:
Small (1") wooden thread spools- (empty spools must be wood without thread available at craft/supply stores) approximately 500 needed Recycled (empty and clean) glass jars: ideal size is 15-16 oz pickle, salsa, or cheese dip jar (we need 100 medium sized jars- votive candle must fit inside)
Please let me know if you are able to collect some of these items!
BABY BOTTLE COLLECTION
Baby bottle collection is on Father's Day! Many thanks to those who volunteered to fill the bottles with change. Please return the bottles to the Children's Ministries table in the narthex no later than June 16. If you do not have a bottle but would still like to participate, please feel free to put change in a plastic zip-lock Baggie or any small container. All funds raised will support the Crisis Pregnancy Center.
Help Wanted:
Junior Church Volunteers are needed all year long and Rotational Sunday School Teachers are needed September through June. As you fill your calendars, please consider blessing our children with your time.
