Update From Our
Director of Children's Ministries

Blessings to all our families for a safe and healthy Christmas Season!
Christmas Craft Night December 11, 2014 for ALL children in grades 1-6— bring a friend 5:30-7:30 PM. As a part of Family Ministries Night and Pioneer Club, we welcome all children to join us for this fun craft night. Please RSVP to Sarah King at sarex27@sbcglobal.net We meet in Fellowship Hall for supper at 5:30 and then craft time begins @ 6:15. Parents and Families are welcomed to stay. Dinner is $10 per family or $3 per child. Pick up time is 7:30 PM.
Please Bring a bag of new disposable DIAPERS and baby wipes to share with Windsor Family Services. Diapers are especially needed at this time—think of baby Jesus entering the world, and honor Him by sharing this gift with our local children. Collection 12/11 through 12/14.
Junior Church will NOT be offered for 3 consecutive Sundays during the 10 AM services on 12/14, 12/21, and 12/28. These festive services during the Christmas season offer a time for our children aged 4 through 2nd grade to remain in the sanctuary with families and friends. Coloring pages and supplies are available to use at the Children's Ministries table in the narthex. Please pick up a clip board and some crayons and enjoy.
The Crib/Toddler Room will be open through December. Please note the time changes: 9:45- 11:15 to accommodate the 10:00 services on 12/14, 12/21, and 12/28: (No Sunday School for each week).
The TUMC staff is grateful to the volunteers who have helped take care of our children throughout 2014! Your time in the C/T Room, Junior Church, teaching or shepherding for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Rotational Sunday School, teaching at Pioneer Club, and committing to VBS each summer is tremendously valuable!
I am especially blessed by your help as I conclude my job as Children's Ministries Director. Our Pastors and SPRC are working to hire a full-time person to cover both the youth and children's leaderships roles. I will miss teaching and working with our TUMC children, as I have shared many fun times with them since I was hired in 2010.
I thank all of the parents who have diligently supported our programs by bringing your children to TUMC activities and weekly Sunday School. Thank you for sharing the love of Jesus with your children and all their friends!
Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
Have a blessed Christmas season, filled with the joy of the gift of Jesus!
Happy New Year!
