Transforming Congregations transcong.org/
Equipping the Church to model and minister sanctified sexuality
Churches are facing some of the most difficult questions of our times, and the world is watching to see how they will answer. Will Christians be a winsome and convincing witness for purity in a sexually permissive society? And what will we do with the sexually confused, broken and sinful in our midst? Scripture talks about TRANSFORMATION…God’s grace is so amazing that even the most deeply rooted sexual sin can be overcome, and even the most painful sexual brokenness can be healed…
Lifewatch lifewatch.org also called TUMAS Taskforce of United Methodists on Abortion and Sexuality.
Out of obedience to Jesus Christ, TUMAS will work to create in church and society esteem for human life at its most vulnerable, specifically for the unborn child and for the woman who contemplates abortion. Therefore, TUMAS’ first goal is to win the hearts and minds of United Methodists, to engage in abortion prevention through theological, pastoral and social emphases that support human life.

The Confessing Movement www.confessingumc.org/
…..The crisis before us is this: Will The United Methodist Church confess, and be unified by, the apostolic faith in Jesus Christ; or will The United Methodist Church challenge the primacy of Scripture and justify the acceptance of beliefs incompatible with our Articles of Religion and Confession of Faith?
The United Methodist Church is now incapable of confessing with one voice the orthodox Trinitarian faith, particularly Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the Lord of history and the Church. While giving assent to Jesus Christ as Lord, our denomination tolerates opinions that “strike at the root of Christianity” (John Wesley). Our Church suffers from private versions of the faith that do not find their root in Scripture.
The purpose of this Confessional Statement is to call The United Methodist Church, all laity and all clergy, to confess the person, work, and reign of Jesus Christ. This Statement confronts and repudiates teachings and practices in The United Methodist Church that currently challenge the truth of Jesus Christ–the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the Lord of all. Aware of our own sinfulness, we who make this Confession submit our common witness and our lives to the judgment and mercy of God, as attested in Scripture, the written Word of God.
We Confess Jesus Christ
The Mission Society for United Methodists themissionsociety.org/
The Mission Society was founded in 1984 with an emphasis on sending missionaries to areas where the gospel had been least heard so they could introduce individuals to Christ, disciple new believers, plant churches, and come alongside national leaders to help them reach their own nations for Christ. More than 25 years later, this focus continues to guide us. Over the years, we have grown to recruit, train, and support more than 500 cross-cultural witnesses. Currently, more than 200 work alongside nationals in more than 35 nations around the world. As they serve in a wide variety of ministries, they share the love and message of Christ, equip and empower national churches and their leaders, and further community development and relief efforts where needed.
The Congress on Evangelism congressonevangelism.org
The Congress on Evangelism is sponsored by the Council on Evangelism and the General Board of Discipleship with the support of The Foundation for Evangelism. The congress meets every January at different locations presenting motivational speakers and workshops based on evangelism.
Good News goodnewsmag.org
The Good News Movement is a voice for repentance, an agent for reform, and a catalyst for renewal within the United Methodist Church. By God’s grace, we will proclaim and demonstrate the power and effectiveness of historic Christianity as emphasized in Wesleyan doctrine and practice.
In a time of theological pluralism, Good News and other evangelicals within United Methodism have thought it necessary to reaffirm the historic faith of the Church. Our theological understanding of this faith has been expressed in the Apostles’ Creed, Nicene Creed, and in John Wesley’s standard Sermons and the Explanatory Notes upon the New Testament. We affirm in their entirety the validity and integrity of these expressions of Scriptural truth, and recognize them as the doctrinal standards of our denomination.
IRD Institute for Religion and Democracy theird.org/
We are Christians working to reaffirm the church's biblical and historical teachings, strengthen and reform its role in public life, protect religious freedom, and renew democracy at home and abroad. Our vision is to lead the fight rallying Christians to champion biblical, historic Christianity and its role in democratic society, and to defeat revisionist challenges.
Renew Women’s Network Renewnetwork.org - women's ministry
RENEW is a network for evangelical women within the United Methodist Church. We are affiliated with the Good News organization, a forum for scriptural Christianity within the United Methodist Church. Our members come from all areas of the country and serve their local churches either in United Methodist Women or other women's ministry programs.
RENEW provides support and supplemental program resources for our network members and maintains an interactive website for women of the church. We also offer workshops and seminars on the formation of transformative women's ministry programs.
RENEW is also a voice for renewal and reform of the Women's Division, the governing body of United Methodist Women. We do this by reviewing resources, reporting on Division board meetings and events, examining program and policy directions, and evaluating spending patterns. We also lobby the General Conference of the United Methodist Church to officially recognize supplemental women's ministry programs across the church.
RENEW uplifts a biblical worldview in our homes, churches, communities, and society. While we believe that God's Word is relevant to every age, we do not believe that every age is called to reinterpret God's Word. RENEW believes that the transforming power of the Christian gospel remains relevant and the truth revealed in the Bible is unchanging.
The ministry of RENEW offers an alternative to women within the United Methodist Church who desire to seek, share, and serve Jesus Christ. RENEW has played a pivotal role in ministering to women across the church and calling for renewal and accountability of the Women's Division. Presently, we are embarking on a new phase of ministry that will focus on building women's ministry within the church and reaching out to the women who yearn for other avenues of women's ministry and desire to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Emmaus upperroom.org
The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. The program's approach seriously considers the model of Christ's servanthood and encourages Christ's disciples to act in ways appropriate to being "a servant of all."
The Walk to Emmaus experience begins with a 72-hour short course in Christianity, comprised of fifteen talks by lay and clergy on the themes of God's grace, disciplines of Christian discipleship, and what it means to be the church. The course is wrapped in prayer and meditation, special times of worship and daily celebration of Holy Communion. The "Emmaus community," made up of those who have attended an Emmaus weekend, support the 72-hour experience with a prayer vigil, by preparing and serving meals, and other acts of love and self-giving. The Emmaus Walk typically begins Thursday evening and concludes Sunday evening. Men and women attend separate weekends.
During and after the three days, Emmaus leaders encourage participants to meet regularly in small groups. The members of the small groups challenge and support one another in faithful living. Participants seek to Christianize their environments of family, job, and community through the ministry of their congregations. The three-day Emmaus experience and follow-up groups strengthen and renew Christian people as disciples of Jesus Christ and as active members of the body of Christ in mission to the world.
