To strengthen involvement in local and global Christian mission..
Something New For Worship
The First Sunday in May and the First Sunday in June will be a bit different at Trinity. The early 8:15 AM Worship Service will be a bit more Contemporary and the later Worship Service at 11 AM will be more Traditional. Communion will still be celebrated at both services in May & June. Interested in seeing what we mean? Come and check us out.
Feeding the Hungry in Bushnell Park on Saturday Afternoons
We have set the 2014 dates for Trinity's turn to serve lunch to homeless and indigent people in Bushnell Park.
Please consider joining us in providing lunch on one of these days. Here are ways you might help: make sandwiches & pack lunches (1-2:30 PM), help to serve lunch in the park (2:30-4PM) and/or make cookies/bars to include in the lunches (any time).
This service is provided in partnership with Christ Cathedral Church in Hartford as part of the Hands-on Hartford Project. We generally serve between 70 and 100 people depending upon the time of year, weather and economic conditions. The folks who receive the lunches are very appreciative!
For the record, in one year with the help of area churches like ours, Christ Cathedral Church serves close to 13,000 weekend meals and just shy of 2,000 communion offerings in their Saturday church-by-the-pond program, just prior to lunch.
Check out the details on their website and see pictures of many our church servers in their photo album: Church Street Eats [firstname.lastname@example.org]
If you have questions or would like to volunteer to help, please contact Donna Myers (860-688-7230).
