Mission To Asia
The United Methodist Women present Pastor Seth Johnson and his presentation on his missionary work in Asia March 10th @ 5:30 PM. All are welcone to this very interesting speaker.

“Native New Englanders, Seth and Judy Johnson along with their seven children, seek to use every opportunity to show the love of Christ to people both near and far. Nearby at Faith Baptist Church in Manchester Seth has served as the pastor for almost nine years integrating faith into everyday life. Far away a passion for the truth has grown in Asia and the opportunity to teach pastors has blossomed. With a background in Systematic and practical theology Seth is developing material to train national pastors in Asia. With trips for Seth that sound more like Tom Clancy novels than church ministry life for the Johnson’s is anything but normal!”

Feeding the Hungry in Bushnell Park on Saturday Afternoons
We have set the dates for our turn to serve lunch to homeless and indigent people in Bushnell Park for 2012.
March 17th, June 23rd, Sept. 1st and Dec 1st
Please consider joining us in providing lunch on one of these days. Here are ways you might help – make sandwiches & pack lunches (1-2:30PM), help to serve lunch in the park (2:30-4PM) and/or make cookies/bars to include in the lunches (any time). This service is provided in partnership with Christ Cathedral Church in Hartford as part of the Hands-on Hartford Project. We generally serve between 50 and 100 people depending upon the time of year, weather and economic conditions, and folks who receive the lunches are very appreciative! If you have questions or would like to volunteer your time, please contact Donna Myers (860-688-7230) or Jen McGoldrick (860-683-1269), Missions Chairperson.
