Feeding the Hungry in Bushnell Park on Saturday Afternoons

We have set the 2013  dates for Trinity to serve lunch to homeless and indigent people in Bushnell Park: July 27 and Nov. 23.
Please consider joining us in providing lunch on one of these days.  Here are ways you might help – make sandwiches & pack lunches (1-2:30PM), help to serve lunch in the park (2:30-4PM) and/or make cookies/bars to include in the lunches (any time).  

This service is provided in partnership with Christ Cathedral Church in Hartford as part of the Hands-on Hartford Project. We generally serve between 50 and 100 people depending upon the time of year, weather and economic conditions. The folks who receive the lunches are very appreciative! 

For the record, Christ Cathedral Church served the following in 2012, with the help of area churches like ours: 12,624 weekend meals and 1,900 communion offerings in their Saturday church-by-the-pond program.

Prayer Meeting: On Tuesday evenings, YOU are warmly invited to come out and pray. From 7pm - 8:30pm, we meet in the church library to pray for our church & the ministries/our world/each other. Presently, those involved are Ginnie Pazos, Nancy Dagenhart, Joy Otaluka, Marlene Wilhelm, and Ann Gallagher. If the Lord is tugging at your heart to be involved, please join us.
