Trinity Celebrates 50 Years in our Sanctuary
50 Years ago we opened our new Sactuary. Here are a few folks who were part of Trinity 50 Years ago when we moved Sunday Worship from Fellowship Hall to the new Sanctuary.
Sign the "Integrity and Unity" Statement Today
As many of you are aware, some UM pastors are openly forsaking the vows they made to practice their ministry according to the church's teaching regarding same-sex ceremonies. Even though The Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church clearly forbids pastors to preside at such services, many of them have disregarded our church law. A few of our church's bishops have supported and even encouraged these acts of defiance.
The website www.methodistcrossroads.org is now live. The site contains a statement entitled "Integrity and Unity" that was adopted at a recent gathering of clergy and laity in Atlanta. The statement calls upon our bishops to uphold our Book of Discipline and demands integrity of one another and all United Methodist pastors for the sake of unity and biblical integrity. The statement will be delivered to the Council of Bishops during its fall meeting the first week of November.
Pastors John & Skip have endorsed this statement, and they encourage you to do so as well. You can find the statement and background information about the current crisis confronting the church at www.methodistcrossroads.org. Please visit the site as soon as possible to add your name to the statement, and then pass it along to others so they can add their names as well.
To worship and glorify God the Father
through His Son, Jesus Christ.
To grow in fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ
individually, and as a family.
To seek, to share, and to teach Christ.
To be open to the Holy Spirit,
to be empowered by Him
to fulfill the Great Commission,
and to serve Him in all ways
throughout the community and the earth.

Scripture for The Week
7 The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. 2 Take with you seveng of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, 3 and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. 4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made." 5 And Noah did all that the LORD commanded him. 6 Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth. 7 And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.
15 Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark. 16 The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.
